Live Event Coverage: From On-Site to On-Feed
Live event coverage was a major part of my role at Booksy, requiring frequent travel across the U.S. for industry trade shows, private creator and ambassador events, local activations, experiential marketing events, and brand stunts. My strategy was to treat each event as a real-time content engine, humanize the brand and the people behind it, and identifying the stories, people, and moments that could translate into compelling social content before, during, and after the event.
BE+WELL NYC
THE OPPORTUNITY
With day 1 be+well NYC taking place around International Women’s Day, I saw an opportunity to create content that went beyond simply documenting the event. The goal was to use the people already gathered on-site to create timely, community-led content that connected the cultural moment back to Booksy’s beauty and wellness audience.
MY ROLE
I owned the social execution on-site, from identifying the content opportunity and developing the concept to approaching talent, conducting the interview, capturing the footage, and turning the moment into platform-native social content. The piece was also published as a collaboration with a featured ambassador, helping extend the content beyond Booksy’s owned audience.
THE RESULTS
30.8K VIEWS | 4.2K REACH | 222 SHARES | 160 LIKES
The Reel generated 30.8K+ views and was especially strong as shareable content, earning 222 shares, more than any other individual engagement action on the post. It also drove meaningful conversation and redistribution through comments, reposts, and saves, showing that the event coverage resonated beyond passive viewing.
Tampa Yacht Party
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Tampa yacht party was designed to bring Booksy’s local community together in person, but the opportunity on social was to make the experience feel bigger than the guest list. I approached the event with the goal of capturing the energy, personalities, and memorable moments in a way that could translate into a compelling social recap and give audiences who weren’t there a reason to stop, engage, and discover the brand.
MY ROLE
I captured content on-site throughout the event, identifying the moments and people that best told the story of the experience. Afterward, I curated the strongest imagery into a recap carousel, shaped the narrative and sequencing of the post, wrote the supporting copy, published the content, and managed engagement once it went live.
THE RESULTS
34.7K VIEWS | 15.9K REACH | 617 LIKES | 39 SHARES
The recap extended the event well beyond the people who attended, generating 34.7K views and reaching nearly 15.9K accounts. Most notably, 80.9% of viewers were non-followers, showing that the content traveled beyond Booksy’s existing community and introduced the brand experience to a broader audience.
